  • The Second Line Band will rehearse today at lunch in the Music room. All players please attend this first rehearsal of 2019!
  • To all Grade 12 students, this Friday is the absolute Last Day to buy Winter Formal tickets. NO tickets will be sold after this week. Please purchase in the lounge at lunch or online.
  • Hey Interactors! A reminder that there is an important meeting held in the gym today at lunch! Be sure to come out to hear and sign up for all the new projects coming up. Also, we will be selling hash browns in the Caf Today during break for $2 each. Come out and get yourself a nice warm hash brown.
  • Reminder to Grade 8 Interactors, we will be having a training session next Monday at lunch.
  • Attention all students attending the Quebec trip- there will be a meeting tomorrow at lunch in room 210.
  • Students are encouraged to sign up for next Wednesday’s Personal Learning Time session. Teachers have posted the green sign-up list outside of their classrooms. Spaces are limited for each teacher. A reminder that this is instructional time, so all students, Grade 8 through 12, need to sign-up for a session.
  • Attentions students who’ve applied to UBC AFTER DEC 3rd. The deadline to submit your PEN, if you haven’t already done so, and complete the student transcript from listing UBC is, January 31st. Please see your counsellor or Ms. Jones, the Career advisor ASAP if you require assistance.
  • A big congratulations goes out to Grade 8 Girls’ basketball team for their thrilling 31 to 28 win over Palmer yesterday. Great teamwork and a clutch performance by Julia Ruus secured the victory. Come out and cheer on the girls next Monday for their home game against Cambie. Go Trojans Go!
  • If you have ordered Hugh Boyd sweatpants, you can now pick them up today and tomorrow at lunch in the lounge.
  • Reminder to grade 12’s that the deadline to apply to Emily Carr and UBC is next Tues. January 15th. No applications will be accepted beyond this date.
  • Did you check out a Reading Riot book over the holidays? Be sure to return them by the due date so that you can take out more! And don’t forget to submit your ballot. The first draw prize will be held this Friday. Come and have a look at the available books in the library learning commons.
  • All International students are invited to a lunch time meeting tomorrow in the library. Pizza will be served.
  • Mrs. Korber is hosting a Personal Project work block, with support, in the library on Jan. 16 in PLT. There are 40 spots and sign up is outside Room 208.
  • Hi Badminton Club members! Please come to Ms. Tong’s room 207 at lunch to vote for your T-shirt logos! Voting available till January 16!
  • Attention basketball refs and scorekeepers! Please check the schedule outside the gym and make sure to find a replacement if you can’t make it to a game!
  • Anyone who ordered Trojan Swag, it will be ready for pick up next week. I repeat, next week!!
  • Attention Grade 11 and 12 students interested in Trades! Apply for the Skilled Trade Exploration Program and spend 4 days working alongside plumbers, carpenters, electricians or HVAC technicians at the Richmond School District Worksyard. The days will run in April or May depending on your choice. See your Career Advisor or Counsellor for details and how to apply. All completed applications must be submitted before Jan 31st.
