  • Thanks to all who participated over the weekend in our first cleanup. There are still spaces available for the next two cleanups in June 5 and June 12 for the Garry Point and Terra Nova locations. Please talk to your Interact grade reps if you are interested in participating. It’s a fun and engaging event that counts for service hours. Also, it’s a great and simple way to get involved in the community! Sign up for a very rewarding experience!

  • On Thursday, the remains of 215 children were found on the site of the former Kamloops Indian Residential School. It is imperative that we reflect and take action on reconciliation. This week, all schools across the province will have their flags lowered to half mast in remembrance of these children, and for all children who were removed from their families and forced to attend residential schools. All students and staff are encouraged to wear orange all this week. June is also National Indigenous History Month. We must take this opportunity to learn and educate ourselves about the past to move towards a future of true equity for all Indigenous people. Wear orange, but take action and learn.
