Textiles Studies 11

Course Description

This is an intermediate course designed to improve and expand sewing skills learned in Textile Studies Level 9 or 10. Students will learn techniques to construct more difficult projects, to speed up construction and to produce quality garments. Students choose their own projects which can include pants/dresses, shirts/jackets, or other coordinated outfits. Students will become more aware of their individual skill levels and will strive to take on new challenging projects. This course provides practical skills for independent living and leisure activities and also exposes students to future career opportunities in the areas of clothing manufacturing, fashion design, merchandising and wardrobe planning.
