  • Any Grade-8 boys wanting to play volleyball, tryout is Today from 3-4:30 in the old gym! Find Zach or Andrei for any questions.

  • February 20th to the 26th is Freedom to Read Week.  Freedom to Read Week encourages Canadians to reaffirm their commitment to intellectual freedom that is guaranteed in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. With the movement in certain countries to ban and censor books from libraries and classes due to issues that anyone views as controversial, it is more important than ever to be free to read what you want. The upstairs and downstairs bulletins near the student bathrooms have displays of books that have been challenged and/or censored, and QR codes linking to articles about the importance of intellectual freedom and attempts to limit it.  Go to FreedomtoRead.ca or follow the library’s Instagram for more info.

  • Richmond Virtual School is now open for their summer school registration. There are Gr.10 – Gr. 12 courses available. Check RVS website for more details.

  • What’s up trojans, your Hugh Boyd marketing class is putting on a marketing expo! We have a wide variety of products including snacks, bracelets, socks, phone chains, and bubble tea! Come down to the lounge all this week and visit us! We can’t wait to see you!

  • Congrats to the senior boys for winning the playoff game against McRobert last night and good luck to their game against Palmer tonight.

  • Thank you all for donating to the CKNW pink shirt Day Foundation for yesterday’s pie in the face event. Together we raised over $211, reaching our $200 goal. Watch our story on HBSTUCO2022, and see the clips of Jaymee, Kairavee, Hannah, Sarah and Elymar getting pied.
