Dry After Grad - Bag Drop Information
To Grade 12 students and parents,
Just under 2 weeks away, the Dry After Grad committee is looking forward to a fun and memorable night! Parents and students please take a few minutes to read the following important bag drop information and night of rules so everyone can enjoy the party and be safe.
DAG is strictly an Alcohol & Drug-Free event, supervised by parent volunteers and professional security personnel. There will be no smoking or vaping permitted at the event. ALL SCHOOL RULES APPLY. Parents/legal guardians and/or the authorities may be called for any violations.
No in and out privileges during this event. If you leave early – you will not be allowed back in. A parent/legal guardian may be contacted by phone call to confirm a student’s early departure.
BAG DROP: Thursday, June 26 from 2:00-5:00pm at the school old gym
Students should put together a bag of casual and comfortable clothes for after the formal dinner/dance. What to pack: a comfortable top and bottoms, socks, shoes, undergarments, sweater/hoodie. You might also want to include a garment bag labelled with your first and last name, and a clothes hanger.
What not to pack:
· No valuables (wallet, money, electronics, jewelry, etc)
· No containers where drugs/alcohol could be hidden (water bottles, pill containers, hairspray, perfume bottles, gum packs or candies, deodorant, lipstick or lip gloss tubes, liquid make-up remover, pouches, etc.)
· No liquids of any kind! (if you need contact lens solution, bring your lens case pre-loaded with solution or we will have contact solution available at the event if needed). There is no need to bring ANY liquids to this event.
Students are to bring their change of clothing bag to the old gym outside doors on Thursday, June 26 between 2:00-5:00pm. Bag contents will be reviewed by a parent volunteer while you are present at bag drop off. Any items that are found that are not allowed at the DAG will be confiscated.
DRY AFTER GRAD PARTY: Friday, June 27 from 11:30pm – 4:30am
Students attending the Dry After Grad at the school will be transported by bus and brought directly to the school from Tsawwassen Springs (leaving at approximately 11:15pm). The buses will have parent chaperones that will escort students back to the school.
Upon arrival at the school, student will check in with our parent Welcome Committee. Students will be directed to their change of clothes bag and their empty garment bags.
Students will change into their comfortable clothes and shoes. Parent volunteers will be available to assist as required.
All students will receive a DAG t-shirt and a chance to win several prizes throughout the night. At the end of the night, gift bags will be handed out.
