Every year, the first Wednesday in November is designated as “Take Our Kids to Work Day” for grade 9 students across Canada where students are hosted by parents, friends, relatives and volunteers at workplaces.

The program supports career development by helping students connect school, the world of work, and their own futures and we are pleased to, once again, offer this opportunity for our grade 9 students. We encourage as many grade 9 students as possible to participate in this learning opportunity.

Attached to this page, you will find a permission form. If you will be taking your grade 9 child to work on November 5th. This form must be completed, signed, and returned to the office by Friday, October 31st.  Paper copies of the form are also available for students to pick up in the office. Signed forms can be emailed to boyd@sd38.bc.ca or dropped off in the main office.

Students who do not submit a completed parent permission form will be expected to attend regularly scheduled classes on November 5th.
