We hate to intrude upon your summer vacation, but we also know that the weather is beginning to change and that people are beginning to feel restless with the end of summer looming…

This message is being sent as a welcome back to school for all students and families as September 3rd draws near. We hope summer has been restful and rejuvenating. We also know that the end of summer can come with some nervousness or anxiety, but hopefully also some excitement about new opportunities.  We are confident that it will be another excellent year at Hugh Boyd Secondary and that we are very excited to see every one of you soon.

School will start on Tuesday, September 3^rd. Students are expected for Grade Assemblies and Homerooms as follows:

• Grade 9/10-10:00 AM in the Gym 
• Grade 11/12-11:30 AM in the Gym
• Grade 8-1:00 PM in the Gym

Homeroom lists will be posted on the front windows by Friday, August 30th at 3:00 PM.

Hugh Boyd enrolment appears to be significantly increased from last year, which is a good thing, but will impact space issues as students try to get their timetables solidified. Please be patient as we resolve several issues with students timetables.  Timetables will be distributed in your Homerooms on September 3rd. Changes will be very difficult to accommodate, but if you need something altered, please be sure to use the Course change request form and wait for your Counsellor to get back to you.

We are very excited to see you all on September 3^rd, and hope that you all enjoy the remaining few days of summer holidays.
