Student Notices - Mar 10,2022

  • Attention all Grads! Class Historian and Class Valedictorian application forms are now available! See Ms. Hui at the office to pick up an application if you are interested in being considered for one of these roles. Application deadline is April 14th. Also, a reminder that if you have not paid your Valedictory fee yet, you MUST pay your fee before spring break to have your grad gown ordered for you. See Ms. Hui at the office if you have any questions.

 

  • The end of the school year is fast approaching, which means it’s almost time to receive your yearbook! If you haven’t paid your yearbook fee yet then please, don’t wait any longer – pay it now! It’s $45 and you can pay via the School CashOnline system. However, if you prefer to keep it old school, you can also submit a cheque, payable to Hugh Boyd Secondary, or pay with cash at the office. A list of students who have already paid for a Yearbook has been posted outside the office.

 

  • Attention Grade 12 students!  The Hugh Boyd Scholarship application is now open.  All grade 12's should apply as scholarships are not based soley on grades!  The online application form is found on the Hugh Boyd website under Students, Grade 12, Valedicatory Scholarships.  The deadline to submit your application is April 8th.  Don't miss it!

 

  • March Career Program School Board Scavenger Hunt Poster is now up in the counselling and all students welcome to scan code and enter the contest!

 

  • Do you like to go for runs or want to be a part of a team? Consider joining the High School Sun Run team! We practice every Saturday and meet at the Starbucks in Steveston at 9:30am. For more information, find Mrs. Hayden!

 

  • Participate in the St Patrick Day lunch time act this Friday and win some lucky prizes to send you all for a happy spring break. Also, don’t forget to send in your spirit day pictures to our HBSTUCOIG. Today is  Aloha Thursday, and Friday St. Patrick day.

 

  • Attention students: If you didn’t go to your Homeroom yesterday, you can come to the office to get your Covid-19 Antigen test kit.
